Anglo-Indian Project: Liebster award

The Anglo Indian Project has been nominated for a Liebster award! Thank you so much for nominating me Roma Rose of TheRomBlood. It is a great motivation boost that people are actually reading the blog and getting something from it.

The Liebster award is given by bloggers to other up-and-coming bloggers to highlight their work and encourage them to continue. Liebster, from German, means dearest, beloved, favourite.

Here are the guidelines for receiving and perpetuating the award (as copied from TheRomBlood):

1. Thank the blogger that has given you the award and include the Liebster logo.
2. Answer the questions that blogger set for you.
3. List five bloggers you nominate for the award.
4. Create questions for them to answer.
5. Go to their pages and notify them.

Here are the questions posed to me and my answers:

1. Why do you blog?

It was the most accessible way to document my ancestry research, primarily so my family could access the information. But also in the interests of making things transparent – what’s the point of hiding information where no-one ever sees it?

2. What do you enjoy about blogging?

I love writing, and blogging provides an enjoyable writing experience. It also keeps me focused on the ancestry research and documents everything in an accessible (and visibly appealing) format.

3. Do you have any regrets about starting your blog?

None. Only that I wish I could spend more time on it.

4. What would you love to achieve with your blog?

At first I envisioned an end point, but I would love for the blog to continue indefinitely, future family members can continue it and follow their ancestry back through the centuries.

I would like to nominate:

  1. Antheas Chronicles
  2. A Late Spring
  3. Iowa DNA Project
  4. Wanderlusting
  5. Dark Harte Travel

My questions for the 5 of you:

  1. What has been the highlight of your blogging experience so far?
  2. What led you to choose the focus of your blog?
  3. What is your biggest blogging mistake?
  4. What motivates you to write regularly?
  5. What is the vision for your blog?
